In Greene County district court Amanda Marie Meyer, 35, of Fort Dodge was granted a deferred judgment after she changed her plea to guilty to a charge of operating while intoxicated- first offense. She was ordered to pay a $1,250 civil penalty; one-half was waived because she has already obtained a temporary restricted driver’s license. Jacoby Brian Winters, 29, of Bayard was sentenced Oct. 20 to one year in jail after he changed his plea to guilty to a charge of OWI- first offense. All but four days of the jail time was suspended and he was placed on probation to Boone/Greene County Probation for one year. He may complete the Des Moines Area Community College 48-hour alcohol education program in lieu of two days of jail time. He must undergo a substance abuse evaluation and complete any recommended treatment at his own expense. Blake Matthew Millard, 36, of Jefferson was sentenced to 180 days in jail on each of two counts of assault causing bodily injury or mental illness. All but 12 days was suspended on each of the charges, with the jail time to be concurrent. He was placed on probation for one year to Boone/Greene County Probation. He was fined $430 with a $64.50 surcharge on each charge. His ability to pay restitution for his court appointed attorney’s fees and court costs is to be determined. A judgment was entered for a $430 civil penalty. Lombera was placed on informal probation to Boone/Greene County Probation for one year. She must undergo a substance abuse evaluation and complete any recommended treatment at her own expense. She must also complete an anger management course. Court costs were $136.50. Hayley Lynn Brown, 29, of Jefferson was sentenced to 20 days in jail after she changed her plea to guilty to a charge of assault on person in certain occupation- bodily injury. She was fined $855 with a $127.50 surcharge; the fine and surcharge were suspended. She must pay an amount not to exceed $1,000 for her court appointed attorney’s fees and $100 court costs. One count of assault on person in certain occupation and one count of interference with official acts was dismissed. A charge in magistrate court of interference with official acts was dismissed. A judgment for a $1,370 fine with a $205.50 surcharge was entered against Paul David Wright, 45, of West Des Moines on a charge of gambling- avoid set off. He was placed on probation to the Department of Correctional Services for three years. Persons pleaded not guilty to charges as follows: Mark Marrow, 62, of Grand Junction, possession of methamphetamine- third or subsequent offense and unlawful possession of prescription drug; and Enrique Ramon Pacheco Arita, 29, of Jefferson, domestic abuse assault causing injury or mental illness. Trial dates were set for Dec. 13 in both cases.
Information is available since the return of an arrest warrant that Candi Renee Lamberti, 38, of Des Moines is charged with possession of methamphetamine and unlawful possession of prescription drug. The warrant was issued March 2 and returned Oct. 24.
